Started ten years ago, Beetlebung Coffee House is located in Menemsha, a tiny fishing village near the up-Island town of Chilmark. This rural area is rugged and beautiful. The ocean is ever present. Ancient farmer's walls criss-cross fields cleared hundreds of year ago for grazing sheep.

It is from where we take our name, Beetlebung. Islanders fabricated wooden beetles (mallets) and bungs (stoppers) from Island Beetlebung trees to seal casks of whale oil. "Beetlebung Corner" is the quiet intersection at Chilmark center.

Beetlebung Baristas handcraft a range of hot and iced espresso drinks, Organic teas, and frosty thirst quenchers, from fresh squeezed lemonade slushies, to all natural fruit and yogurt smoothies.

For breakfast, we serve our signature Organic Eggwich; bagel sandwiches with cream cheese and smoked local bluefish or wild Sockeye salmon; and fresh baked croissants and scones. For Lunch, we offer our signature Curry Lobster Sliders and made-to-order Panini (grilled sandwiches) and Wraps from outstanding all-natural and local ingredients.

The Coffee House is a fun and social destination far away from the populated centers down-Island. By car, bike, and bus, guests from all over the country and the world venture up-Island to check out this most beautiful territory of Martha's Vineyard.
